The World, 6/23

In an act that some on Wall Street have lauded as an example of "smart and responsible investing" in light of recent woes, rapper Plies threw $50,000 worth of cash into the audience at a show in Atlanta. The act fit nicely with the lyrics of his new single, "Plenty Money," and must have caused quite a stir at the show. Described one concertgoer, Plies "not only made it rain, he made it precipitate."

Recording artist Chris Brown reached a plea deal with prosecutors in the Rihanna domestic assault case. As part of the agreement, Chris Breezy receives no jail time, but does get five years of supervised probation and 180 days of community service in VA. A side note is that he must stay 50 yards away from Rihanna for those five years, unless they are at the same event, where he is allowed to stare at her from 10 yards away.

The Black Eyed Peas' manager Polo Molina has turned himself in to police in light of the allegations put forth against singer and producer will.i.am and his entourage by flamboyant blogger Perez Hilton. Following an alleged scuffle at a MuchMusic Video Awards afterparty, Hilton released a video claiming that he was assaulted by will.i.am, who countered saying "Perez Hilton is a liar". In related news, Molina has allegedly been contacted by Kimbo Slice's manager Bas Rutten.
